JIUB exists to glorify God by providing faith-based, Christ-centered academic programs that prepare students to serve the church, community, and world through biblically grounded ministry, leadership, and service. We aim to foster spiritual maturity, doctrinal soundness, and vocational excellence, grounded in the inspired and infallible Word of God.
As a Baptist theological institution, JIUB upholds the Bible as the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We affirm the historic Christian faith, including: The inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture, The triune nature of God, The virgin birth, atoning death, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, Salvation by grace through faith alone, The autonomy of the local church, Believer’s baptism by immersion.
JIUB offers biblically grounded programs that equip students for Baptist Christian vocations.
Prepare for pastoral leadership with training in preaching, discipleship, and church administration.
Become a spiritual educator in Sunday schools, youth programs, and faith-based institutions.
Combine music and ministry to lead worship that honors God and edifies the church.
Equip yourself to offer biblical counseling rooted in Scripture and Baptist theology.
